Mrs Maria Carlisle
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” Dr Seus
I am driven by the belief that everyone should have the opportunities to fulfil their potential, whatever that may be. I chose to teach following an 8 year career in the Metropolitan police as a police constable because even though I helped to affect positive changes in peoples’ lives on a daily basis, even in the most difficult of times, my determination to inspire children to want to reach their full potential was greater.
Being a part of a school community, I believe I can help shape and educate the leaders, explorers and game changers of the future.
Although a trained economist, my passion is health, medicine and fitness. Over the years, following training, I taught many group exercise sessions, including Spinning and Boxercise. I continue to take part in sports and you will regularly spot me running.
