These Year 5 writers have excelled in writing a letter in the role of an evacuee as part of their History topic this term. The girls put so much thought and care into their writing, it made us feel as if the letters were really from that time period. Well done! pic.twitter.com/PgoNW8W9mg

She also made a paper plate bag with positive affirmations for school community members. How thoughtful! We shared the story with the whole school in assembly. pic.twitter.com/PUMxfao79H

British Science Week 2020

The theme of this year’s Science Week was ‘Our Diverse Planet,’ celebrating the amazing diversity we see across the world. From biodiversity to cultural and societal diversity, from the diversity of knowledge to STEM careers and subjects. Pupils in all classes explored and discussed the differences in their appearance such as hair, eye and skin colour by creating paper chain dolls of their chosen friends or family who they believe look different to themselves. Some pupils also drew around each other’s bodies, creating life-size models, enabling them to appreciate what we all have in common and to celebrate our differences. Through learning about the human body, pupils learned what is perhaps a more important lesson; that they are unique and that every one of them is incredible.
