Mr David South
I have been a Community Governor at Magna Carta for over 5 years, starting when the school was based at the Peter Kirk site. In the 1990's I was a governor of the old school on St. Johns Road when my three children were there. My reason for becoming involved in the new school was the lack of primary school provision around Stansted. I had many friends with children younger than mine struggling to find places for their children nearby. Through following up on that with Essex Council, I became a Community Governor.
Outside of that I am a semi-retired Engineer, running my own business working as a consultant on Supply Chains.
This is my first experience of being part of an Academy Trust and it is so far extremely positive.
The wider group of schools in the trust gives us access to skills, resources and shared ideas that help us take Magna Carta forward.
