Every now and then I think I'm getting my head around what September looks like, and then I remember that we won't be able to sing together, and it just breaks my heart every time.

Power to the Poem

Power to the Poem has been a poetry initiative running in school for well over a year now. Every week there is a new poem for children to read, enjoy, discuss and be inspired to give an opinion and even compose their own poems.

Even though school has closed, we are very keen to ensure poetry continues to be a common feature our pupils are exposed to.

Every week, a new poem will feature on Class Story on Class Dojo.

Please support your child to read and discuss the poem with you. Like in school, we invite pupils to write comments and opinions about the poem and share poems they may have been inspired to write. This will be rewarded with a Dojo point.

Pupils can leave comments and poems on Class Story for all of the class to see or post privately on their portfolio which their class teacher will be able to see and comment on.
