Mums are being presented with handmade gifts crafted at school this Mother’s Day.

Pupils at Magna Carta Primary Academyhave decorated plant pots to give to their parents this Mothering Sunday.

The pots have been planted with bulbs after the school’s PTA donated materials for the project to ensure every child could take part.

Members of the PTA helped pupils to create their personal gifts.

Headteacher Marios Solomonides said: “I am really pleased that all pupils will be able to give a gift to their mothers this Mother’s Day, irrespective of cost.

“It is important to remember that days like Mother’s Day can be painful for some of our pupils for a variety of reasons. We have a wonderful staff team who are sensitive to each family’s needs and circumstances.”
