✏ Year 4 conducted their research into the life of Sir David Attenborough, as part of their History work. 📂 They were given the task of independently researching Sir David to  produce a fact file.

🎾 Year 3 and 4 took to the courts in a primary aged competition. 🥉 Both teams played well and showed good team spirit. Team A managed to come 3rd place. Well done to all who took part.

🏑 Our hockey club took part in the Uttlesford Hockey Tournament at Joyce Franklin Academy. 🏆 Members of the team showed solid skills in stopping the opponent's attacks, making some key tackles and clearing the ball from our half with precision.

🦁 Pupils took part in a workshop based on the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to support their learning and understanding of the book. 🎭 They took turns acting out parts of the novel and placing themselves in the shoes of various characters.

🐻 Forest School club went on a bear hunt! 🪵The children worked in small groups to collect materials for a den for their bear. 🛖 They then constructed the den, adding interesting features and then tested out their den prototypes.

Local Governing Board

The Local Governing Board (LGB) for Forest Hall School (FHS) & Magna Carta Primary Academy (MCA) was previously known as the Local Governing Board/Primary Governing Board. The LGB aims to continue to improve communication and links between Board members, staff, parents and children and it hopes that part of this aim will be met through regular news updates providing information on Board membership and activities. The LGB is actively involved in all aspects of school life. It has a responsibility to ensure that all members of the school communities are safe and have equality of opportunity and it works with school staff to support schools’ improvement and monitor the impact of:

- Achievement of Pupils

- Effectiveness of Early Years

- Behaviour & Safety

- Leadership & Management

- Quality of Teaching
